The Staff

Kerry Christifano, M.A., LPC is a Licensed Professional Counselor and the Executive Director of Counseling and Mind/Body Infertility Services for Complementary Care Group for Infertility. Kerry received her Master’s degree in Counseling & Guidance from the University of Missouri Kansas City. Her post-graduate training was with The Wingspan Group in Kansas City focusing on individual, group, and marriage and family therapy.

Kerry has received clinical training in mind/body medicine through Harvard University’s Mind/Body Medical Institute, and has also received clinical training in mind/body medicine and mind/body programs for infertility with Dr. Alice Domar of the Domar Center in Boston, Massachusetts.

Kerry is in private practice, and has been helping individuals and couples with infertility related psychological and emotional issues utilizing mind/body approaches since 2005. Kerry has personally dealt with infertility and is fully attuned to the emotional and psychological issues related to infertility and treatments for infertility.


Katy Platt is the Assistant Director of Mind/Body Infertility Services and is currently working on her Master’s degree in Counseling & Guidance at the University of Missouri Kansas City.

Katy has received specialized training in mind/body medicine and mind/body programs for infertility with Dr. Alice Domar of the Domar Center in Boston Massachusetts. Katy has also personally dealt with infertility and treatments for infertility and has served as a peer counselor offering support to others that have been and are currently struggling with infertility.

 

 

 

 

A Fertility Plan is helpful in navigating the decision-making process of treatment and family-building options. Having a Fertility Plan serves as a compass giving direction when you may feel lost or unsure about what direction to take in building your family."

For women suffering from depression and/or anxiety, even in the mild to moderate range, relieving symptoms increases chance of conceiving while going through treatment. Research shows that women who receive psychological support while going through medical treatment for infertility have higher conception rates than women who do not receive psychological support while going through treatment."
